The Haseko group also has experience developing properties across the U.S. and Asia. We are currently seeking an Accounting Manager with working experience to join our team. Summary /Objective The Accounting Manager is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting. While leading the accounting department, this position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to address tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities. Responsibilities 1. Ensure an accurate and timely quarterly and year end closing while developing and maintaining appropriate accounting principles in compliance with US GAAP. 2. Prepare all financial reports, including Profit and Loss Statement, Balance Sheet and Statement of Cash Flows, as well as the year-end financial reports. 3. Establish and maintain effective internal control in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley/JSOX to mitigate risks. 4. Prepare corporate income tax returns and ensure they are in compliance with tax codes, accurate and filed timely. 5. Oversee the activities of the accounting department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, and employee expense reports. 6. Work with management to establish financial forecast and budget to achieve corporate objectives. 7. Provide timely explanations of variances between actual results and forecasts/budgets; provide corrective action recommendations to management, where necessary. 8. Coordinate external audit and serve as the primary contact for auditors on all accounting matters. Skills and Qualifications: • Strong accounting knowledge to cope with the complex nature of work. • Communicate with co-workers, management, clients and others in a courteous, ethical and professional manner. • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions. • Excellent oral and written communications skills, with strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook and accounting software. • Must be highly organized and self-motivated, able to handle multiple tasks. • Excellent supervisory skills. Required Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance CPA certification preferred. 5 years of hands-on Accounting Managerial experience Knowledge in Real Estate development helpful Work Environment This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Physical Demands This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
